The book comprises ten years of official presentations and deliveries made in the implementation of the Europan 8 project in Vienna. The book, consisting of 2000 pages, charts how 'dirty realism' transforms the project, sometimes for the worse and sometimes for the better. Making of architecture is about dialectic translation where ideals, ideas and imaginaries intertwine with the political, economic and cultural constraints of the place. Above all, this book is a testimonial about the architect's ambition and motivation to do architecture, and never to give up.
